Hi guys! Just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who may have experienced anything similar this weekend.
On Saturday, I got a message on my text number saying "Hey from NL Adult". I took it to be a reach-out from someone on the site, which I get quite frequently (guys asking for advice about certain SPs, or SPs that I see regularly asking if I'm up for a session.. the usual). When I responded, they asked me if I was still looking for some fun. Then, they proceeded to send me some pics that were quite lovely. They told me that they provide service, but were "new" at it.
So, after a little discussion, we finally got to rates. She said that for a Half hour of service, including GFE, she wanted $320.
Is it just me, or does that seem a tad expensive for half hour from someone who is admittedly BRAND NEW to the industry. So, as someone with some experience as a client, I offered my opinion regarding her rates. Given that she was new (by her on admission), I let her know that most of the mainstream SPs charge about half of that for the same service. The responses I got were along the lines of "Well, I believe I'm worth it", ... "Not charging below my worth"... "Not gonna be 18 and bussing it down for 30+ year old men for dirt cheap", that sort of thing.
For the record, I'm not against any SP charging what they feel they're worth. But I do know how most transactions start and conclude. Most guys will look at the ads, see whatever pics are on the ad, do a little research, read up on the reviews of the SPs they're looking at, look at prices (if posted) and make a short list. Then reach out and see if they can connect, and then go and have their sessions. If we're lucky, the guys will then leave a review of their experiences. I passed this on to the lady, and her only response was "Well, some guys are down for it".
If this lady sees this, I hope she understands that I was just trying to be helpful, and she's well within her rights to charge whatever she feels she's worth, and that I wish her all the best.
Feel free to leave any thoughts about this in the comments... I won't post the phone number or the pics I got for now, out of respect for the person, in case she's actually legit!! I'm more or less wondering if anyone else had a similar encounter any time this past weekend...
There are two ways of looking at this...
1) The lady who texted me is LEGIT a "new to the industry" SP who is just breaking into the local market for the first time, and isn't aware of the standard prices charged by the ladies on this site. I took this as my original way of looking at it. That said, I felt obliged, as someone who has been "clienting" for a number of years on this site, to offer up some information about the site, about posting ads (which, by the way, there were none here from this lady!) and attempted to familiarize her with "the lay of the land", so to speak. Now, after this, if she insists on asking for the unusually high rate she quoted me, then that's cool, it's free enterprise, and it's up to clients to decide for themselves if they feel the price warrants the service you're expecting to get, if you get it.
2) It's also possible that this "lady" actually has no intent on being a legit SP, and that the entire attempt was nothing more than a sham to try to get me to send an e-transfer, or pay by gift cards in advance, and then receive nothing for my efforts. This happens far more often than it should!! My original post was created for two reasons. I actually wanted to see if fellow clients were in agreement about the price of the service offered (by the way, I received several private messages and emails from known clients who 100% agreed with me, and other SPs who have replied publicly on my ad who were also in agreement!). However, bearing in mind that there have been a rash of scammers recently on this site, and continue to post ads here, I also wanted to see if other clients had been approached in a similar way. I am on this site daily, sometimes several times a day. That said, I see ALL the replies that are posted to this ad, and when I get time, I will reply to them, so there's really NO need to message me privately with the same messages that you're posting to the site. I am also in touch with the site Admin fairly often. One of the things I do here, besides try out new SPs and offer recommendations to other clients, is to "sniff out" scammers on the site. The main reason for my post was, in fact, to see if anyone had gotten contact from this "lady", who never did identify if she was a member of this site, and if they had availed of her "services". To be honest, I firmly believe that this was a scam attempt, even though I treated the messages from the sender as legit.
One thing I should add here... don't think for a minute that I haven't been around this block a time or three. I'm perfectly aware of what I'm allowed to do, and not allowed to do, with media I receive in my private messages, whether it's text or email. I receive a fair bit of it, on a weekly basis. And, the vast majority of it is from fake profiles, attempting to pull a scam. If that was the case here, I doubt that if I posted the image I received, that I'd be getting a knock on my door from any police officer. That's why I said that I haven't posted any images, "yet"! Frankly, they could be stock images from another site!! That also happens a lot on here. If this *IS* a scam, believe me, I'll find out soon enough...
